In this program, kids will do warm ups, play theatre games, and work on the FUNdamentals of scenework! Each student will be given a scene or sketch to learn with a scene partner. They will work on these comical or dramatic scenes to develop compelling characters and relationships, tapping into their own imaginative worlds in response to the text. Students will learn to find what is driving a character as well as the action of the scene. They'll practice making bold and specific acting choices within a fun and supportive environment. At the end of the 7 weeks, the students will perform their scenes in a variety show to showcase all their hard work!
