Get excited to learn watercolor painting in a small, step by step environment. Instructor Lana Quann breaks down a variety of methods and techniques used in watercolor with lots of playful tricks. Every week we dive into a method used in watercolor painting (and beyond) using professional materials provided by the instructor. Don't be intimidated by watercolor - jump right in!

Painting Little Birds in Watercolor
Explore a variety of ways to mix colors, create textures and do fine details, while painting images of little birds.

Understanding "Negative Painting" in Watercolor
Learn why this valuable skill is essential in watercolor. Negative Painting adds dimension and allows the subject to move forward in your watercolor practice.

Exploring Mixed Media with Watercolor
Love to add textures and interest to watercolor? Learn about brusho, opaque watercolor and watecolor inks while creating a loose landscape.
Date: Wednesday, 5/8
Time: 4:15-6:00pm
Fee: $22 per class for Resident/$27 per class for Non-Resident

Introduction to Lost & Found Edges
Love that magical feeling watercolor gives us? Learn to "lose" an edge using a few different approaches to create that dreamy effect.
