Watercolor for Beginners PLUS - Session I
Have you dabbled in watercolors or other mediums but want to get more confidence with balancing the water to pigment ratio? Join Lana, from The Wandering Brush for this 3 hour workshop where we will learn all about water to pigment ratios, how to build up transparent layers and how to create interesting effects with water. All materials are included.
Date: Tuesday, 10/15

Fee: $30 per class for Resident/$35 per class for Non-Resident

Watercolor for Beginners PLUS - Session II
(*You do not have to attend Session I to sign up for Session II. They can be taken independent of each other, however there may be some carry over techniques.)
Negative painting in watercolor is an important technique where we will review various ways to paint around the subject to define and enhance it. Since watercolor is transparent, we use negative painting to reserve the light (or white of the paper) by planning our picture. We will practice masking, lifting off, layering and negative painting as we create several smaller works to learn this method.

Time: 2:00-5:00pm
Fee: $35 per class for Resident/$40 per class for Non-Resident
(Fee is a bit more this class due to the type of watercolor materials that are being used.)
