Art Workshop: Indigo Scarves - Art Workshop: Indigo Scarves
In this art workshop we will do indigo dying on scarves, using Japanese resist techniques called Shibori. The instructor will give a brief history on indigo dying. You will experiment first with a small sampler piece, performing some quick and easy resist techniques. Then, see the magic of your sampler as it oxidizes from yellow green to blue coming out of the dye bath! After practicing, you will dye a scarf, dry it on the line, and undo the various resists. So much fun!
