Bicentennial Park - Rennovation Updates
The Bicentennial Park is in the process of being renovated in a 3 Phase project.

Phase I: Replace the old playground with a new one. (spring/summer 2026).

Phase II: Replace the old fence with a new one, create a paved walking path around the perimeter and intersecting through the park, renovate the old basketball courts, improve the grounds with new loam/grass seed. (fall 2026/spring 2027)

Phase III: Replace the old skate park with a new one. (Hopefully acquiring funding by spring 2027, project would begin once funding is acquired.)

Project updates:

9/14/26
Phase I: The new playground with concrete curbing and rubberized surfacing is fully in place. The final walk through of the playground was done with the MRC/GameTime playground representative and they need to still fix two things on the playground. However, at this time the playground is usable for the public to enjoy. We hope to do a grand opening when the majority of work at the park is complete.

*Please note that some piles of dirt and tree parts from the park area still have to be properly removed. The land is also uneven and not seeded yet with grass, so please be cautious when at the park in these areas.

Phase II: Quotes from three different paving companies and fence companies are being acquired to do a purchase order for the work to be done for installing the paved walking path, improving the basketball courts, and replacing the old fence with a new fence in front of the park. Hoping to get this work done in fall 2027. It's dependent on the vendors and their availability for the work to be done. Weather is also a factor.
